Join us for this combined Circlesinging and House Concert experience, a unique opportunity to take part in improvised vocal music and enjoy an intimate live performance in the same evening! Hannah Mayree and Shireen Amini trained together in Circlesinging facilitation under Dave Worm (protegé of Bobby McFerrin) in Oakland, California. Both believe in the power of community music-making and the magic of the unexpected to create a transformative experience for participants of Circlesinging. Our voices will combine to create melody, harmony, rhythm and a lot of spirit! Singers of all levels welcome. These singer-songwriters also channel their muse in the creation of beautifully layered original music which they will share following Circlesinging. 

Hannah Mayree is a Sacramento-born multi-instrumentalist and singer. Bringing experiences of many cultures, travel, friendship, nature, and the wonders of the universe, Mayree serenades on the banjo and reminds us that we are not alone. "Thoughts of the Night" (2017) is their first full length album release.

Shireen Amini is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Bend, Oregon. She carries with her a Bachelor’s degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA and a Certificate in Sound, Voice and Music Healing from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Shireen is trained in piano, guitar, and drums, but specializes in Afro-Latin percussion, particularly the Afro-Peruvian cajon. She released her first EP entitled Turnaround in 2007 and, currently, is the lead singer and guitarist for the successful Bend-based Latin band ¡Chiringa!, which just released their first album in June 2017 called “Familia.” In her solo format, Shireen uses a looping pedal and percussion to create unique arrangements of original music and uplifting cover songs. She offers community music events including Circlesinging as well as sound healing journeys under Shireen Amini Music Medicine.
